Our philosophy is to walk more, consume less and choose better. This is why we are presenting better fashion choices to you. We do not want to miss the joy of fashion. But we want to make it responsible.
So today, we are presenting MarS Anfertigung to you. A lable based in Vienna, Austria, working with deadstock and creating along the upcycling philosophy. It’s founder, Marlen Sabetzer, has shown her collections not only in Austria, but has also been part of “Upcycling Europe”, a EU initiative presenting 28 designers, one from each European country plus Ukraine.
MarS is also the sponsor of our March – give away for the members of our walk&change Challenge.
”Creativity lies in limitation.
Marlen SabetzerMarS Anfertigung
Marlen about her work: “My childhood taught me to use up what I have… fruits, vegetables, work materials, etc., are available, and you use them now before they go bad. Fabrics don’t have an expiration date, but since they’ve already been produced, you can still use them. My label’s motto is “Creativity lies in limitation”—which also reflects my approach to sustainability in fashion: Every material has a right to exist, in my opinion. The dose makes the poison. Synthetic fibers have their advantages—as long as they’re used sparingly!”
We’re giving away a necklace with a heart-shaped carabiner, made by MarS, to one lucky participant in the March walk&change challenge.
