WHY?

Alone we might be powerless, but together we can move the system.

We are living in a world of over-consumption. It hurts our planet, but it ultimately hurts ourselves:

  • bad production methods hurt the people who are producing our clothing and destroy their living environments
  • bad production quality make us wear chemicals, thus destroy our health and make clothing last less
  • bad production materials turn to never disappearing waste in landfills
We can change all this by changing the way we buy fashion.
  1. with more mindfulness for what we want and need
  2. with more mindfulness for how we express our values
  3. with consciously turning to small shops in our neighbourhood and better brands
Why WALKING?
  • Walking is our tool to develop mindfulness.
  • Walking is the easiest way to integrate mind and body.
  • walking is the best way to discover your immediate environment, your neighbourhood and connect with it in a mindful way.
Why 1 Million €, 1 Walk around the world?
  • We want to set ambitious goals that can be reached TOGETHER.
  • If only 2500 people would join and save an average of €400 until the end of the year on fast fashion buys, we would have 1 Million € saved. It sounds much, but it’s all in the numbers.
  • We have walked nearly 10.000km as a single person and then small community in 4 months during the first two years. If we grow and everyone walks just a little bit more, we can walk around the world.

HOW?

1. We use WALKING as a tool

to gain more self-awareness, about our needs, wishes and what aóur place ion the world is.

We walk more by leaving the car (or e-bikes & scooters) behind, to discover our world, our cities, our neighbourhoods and connect with what we have HERE.

We track our steps in our personal challenge dashboards.

2. We make conscious BUYING decisions

We combine the conscious movement of walking with conscious buying decisions. What we save by not consciously not spending on unhealthy, low quality clothing we track in our personal challenge dashboards.

3. Collective power

We publish the collective results of our new behavior. Because this is, what it is: when we do things differently, we will have different results.

4. Keep motivated!

To help you keep your motivation high, we will come up with something each month to reward the participants who track their steps and their savings regularly. Be it sustainable products or special events. We even think of online meetings once per month to come together for chatter and exchange.
