This is a question which haunts me since weeks, if not months: why should I continue to walk “around the world”, when the world is
- either in flames (like now in LA) or in ice storms (like in other parts of the US)
- or at war (like for years already in the Middle East or Ukraine and Russia)
- or no safe place for women (like in so many regions across the world)?
Yes, definitely, it would be logical to continue walking around the globe, the USA are THE land of overconsumption and it would be interesting to find and shed light on the change makers, because there are plenty, and of course, the adventurous side of the journey could eventually reach more people than the last time.
However, a recent conversation with Max, the production and sustainability manager of one of Austrias “green film” companies, got me thinking even more into the direction of staying in Europe.
”Sustainability means less and local.
So, staying in Europe could be a powerful choice. It would be interesting to explore Europes’ fashion industry – the brands, the producers, the recyclers.
What do you think?
