VIRTUAL Climate Run ’26: Participate and win!

Walk together. Make a difference together.
We are delighted to be partnering with the Vienna Climate Run for the second year in a row! Can’t be in Vienna on September 26? You can still take part from wherever you are by joining the Virtual Climate Run. Both formats combine movement with tangible climate action. It is not about speed or athletic performance, but about the impact we can create together—because every step counts.
For every kilometre completed, 1 m² of forest is protected, either in Austria or in the Costa Rican rainforest. In addition, €10 from every registration supports a social climate-protection project run by Caritas and BOKU University in South Sudan.
And remember: you do not have to run. Walking absolutely counts!
Virtual Climate Run
September 16–26, 2026
The Virtual Climate Run gives you the freedom to participate wherever you are. Between September 16 and 26, you can complete your chosen distance by running, Nordic walking or simply walking—whenever and wherever it suits you. Your participation supports the same climate and social projects as the Vienna Climate Run. Simply document your completed distance using an app or screenshot and submit your result.
As a thank-you, every participant receives a digital certificate and a digital finisher bag—including a special goodie from walk4future®.
