Walk together. Make a difference together.
For all who cannot make it to the Vienna Climate Run on the 26th of September, come and join the action via the Virtual Climate Run! Both runs combine exercise with concrete climate protection. The focus isn’t on athletic performance, but on the collective impact: Every step counts. The principle is: 1 kilometer = 1 m² of forest protection – either in Austria or real rainforest in Costa Rica. In addition, every participation supports a social climate protection project by Caritas and BOKU Vienna in South Sudan with €10.
And of course: YOU DO NOT NEED TO RUN. Just walk!
Virtual Climate Run | September 16–26, 2026
For those who want to participate regardless of location, the Virtual Climate Run offers the opportunity to complete your personal running, nordic walking, or simple walking route flexibly within 1.5 weeks.
Participation supports the same climate and social projects as the Vienna Climate Run. The completed route is documented independently via app or screenshot. Participants receive a digital certificate and a digital finisher’s bag (including also a goodie from walk4future®!) as a thank you.
