Walk more.
Choose with
intention.

Make room for what matters. Connect everyday walking with more conscious choices about what you buy — and make your contribution part of a shared journey.

Start with your everyday life

Three steps.
Your own pace.

  1. 01 / WALK

    Make space to notice.

Find opportunities to walk in your day. When practical, leave the car behind. Explore your neighbourhood, notice what is around you and give yourself time to reflect on what you want and need.

  2. 02 / CHOOSE

    Pause before buying.

Ask what you already have, what you really need and what reflects your values. Buy less, keep clothing in use for longer, and explore secondhand, local shops and brands whose practices you trust.

  3. 03 / RECORD

    Make your choices visible.

Use your personal challenge dashboard to record your walking and consumption decisions: money saved by skipping a purchase, or money directed towards more conscious alternatives.

Movement meets mindfulness

A walk can change
what you notice.

A familiar street. A shop you have never entered. A moment to ask yourself: do I really need this?

Reconnect with what is here.

We use walking as an invitation to pay attention — to ourselves, our surroundings and the people and businesses in our neighbourhoods.

Bring that attention to fashion.

The challenge invites you to look beyond the next purchase: how much you buy, how long you use it, and whose work you support. A local shop or a brand name is a starting point for questions, rather than a guarantee of better practices.

Practise, rather than perfect.

walk&change is a mindfulness and self-development journey. The aim is to make thoughtful choices part of everyday life, one decision at a time.

Individual choices. Shared direction.

Your steps become
part of something bigger.

When participants record their walking and consumption decisions, their contributions become part of our collective results. Together, we make everyday action visible — and give others a reason to join in.

Our results reflect participants’ reported activity. The euro total brings together reported savings and spending redirected towards more conscious alternatives. It represents consumption decisions, not donations or project revenue.

Good to know

Before your first step.

Is this a fitness challenge?

The focus is mindfulness and more conscious consumption. Walking is our tool for noticing, reflecting and connecting with our surroundings. Choose a pace and routine that suit you.

Can I join from where I live?

Yes. You can take part in your own everyday surroundings and record your contribution online. If you would also like to meet others in person, explore our event calendar.

What do I record?

Your walking and your conscious consumption decisions: money saved by deciding against a purchase, and spending directed towards more conscious alternatives. Follow the fields in your challenge dashboard.

Do I need to buy anything to contribute?

Buying less is central to the challenge. Making use of what you already own, choosing not to buy and continuing to wear your clothes all belong to this practice.

Where do I begin?

Register for the challenge, then use your personal challenge dashboard to record your activity. Already registered? Go straight to your dashboard and log in if prompted.
