In week 1 you have challenged yourself by window-shopping, trying on clothes and exercising resistance.
How did it go for you? Was it hard?
This week we want to educate ourselves in terms of “label-reading”.
Week 2 Exercise: Automate Label Reading
Label Reading is an action that needs to be automated: when we like an item, we usually check the price tag automatically. What we usually do not do, is to check the lable that tells us the composition of the item.
But only the label tells us if an item is “good” or not, whether the price reflects the value.
- How much polyester/ synthetic material?
- How much recycled material?
- How much natural fibers?
- How much Next-Gen material? (Check out our guide HERE)
The more polyester or even recycled polyester the worse it is.
You can also do the exercise at home: turn the labels of the clothes in your wardrobe. You will most probably find a lot of it consists of synthetic materials.
Don’t do anything about it – just yet. Just observe, become aware and resist buying that new piece that is made from synthetics.
