Every Step Counts: walk4future® x HUMANA in Second Hand September

Every step away from fast fashion and towards secondhand is a step towards a more sustainable future. That’s why walk4future® and HUMANA invite you to discover sustainable fashion on foot in Vienna as part of #secondhandseptember. From September 1st to 30th, 2026, the motto is: Put on your shoes, collect your steps, and visit the HUMANA secondhand shops or clothing donation bins in Vienna on foot. Every step counts – on your way to the shop, while browsing, while shopping sustainably, or while donating well-preserved clothing.

How the Challenge Works

1. Register for the challenge. Registration starts on August 31st. make sure to mark your calendars, subscribe to our Newsletter or follow on Instagram to not miss the date!!
2. Visit one or more HUMANA shops or clothing donation bins in Vienna during September
3. Track your steps and enter them on the challenge website.
4. Upload at least one picture of your walk, your favorite shop, your secondhand find, or your clothing donation.

That’s it! You’re now part of the movement and automatically entered into the prize draw.

What you can win

1. 1st place – most steps: A HUMANA voucher worth **€100** plus a walk4future® – Statement T-shirt.
2. 2nd place – second most steps: A HUMANA voucher worth **€50** plus a walk4future® – Statement T-shirt.
3. Special Win: One additional person will be drawn from all participants. They will win a HUMANA voucher worth **€50** plus a walk4future® – Statement T-shirt.

This means that not only those with the most steps have a chance to win. Every walk counts.

Secondhand clothing extends the lifespan of garments, conserves resources, and creates space for a more conscious approach to fashion. At the same time, walking gets us moving, allows us to rediscover our city, and shows that sustainable change can begin in everyday life. Whether you visit a HUMANA shop, donate gently used clothing, or simply take a mindful stroll through the city: By participating, you’ll join us in making a visible statement for sustainable fashion and a better future.

Terms and Conditions

1. Challenge Dates: September 1st to 30th, 2026
2. Location: Vienna – all HUMANA shops and clothing donation bins
3. Eligibility: Persons aged 18 and over residing in Austria
4. Requirement for participation in the contest: At least one photo must be uploaded to the challenge website during the campaign period. By uploading, participants agree to the publication of the submitted photos in connection with the campaign.

To participate or win, you don’t have to buy anything in the HUMANA shops. Just buy what you really need and want to wear for a long time. Because sustainable fashion doesn’t just start with where we shop, but also with how consciously we consume.
