Repair Festival

The re:pair FESTIVAL’s great success – over 4,000 visitors came in 2024 – motivates us to continue pursuing our goal of inspiring people to repair things with a diverse, participatory program.
The diverse mix of visitors who have come to the festival headquarters in recent years to participate in workshops, tours, lectures, and walks has been impressive. From Syrian and Afghan refugee women, schoolchildren, academics, apprentices, craftspeople, employees, visible mending, DIY, and sustainability enthusiasts to students of applied sciences – everyone met at the re:pair FESTIVAL.
In this way, the re:pair FESTIVAL also contributes to the repair of our society. It brings together people from different backgrounds who would otherwise rarely spend time together.
The topic this year: “Paradise Lost”
This year, the re:pair FESTIVAL, unique in Europe in its density and opulence, is taking place for the fourth time. From October 13 to 31, 2025, the non-profit festival will set up camp at Atelier Augarten. The new festival headquarters at Atelier Augarten is ideally suited to address our relationship with nature under the motto “Paradise Lost.” Although nature generously provides us with everything we need for life, we exploit and destroy it.
